My name is Lynne.  I train to stay fit, keep my bones strong and maintain good balance. 

I started with PDXFIT nearly three years ago with the idea of losing a little weight.  I have lost that weight and so much more. My body fat has reduced from 35 to 22%.  I’m much healthier and less stressed.

If you’re thinking of joining PDXFIT you will find great coaches who will work with you to achieve your goal or work through an injury.  You will also find a community of fun loving, supportive members of all ages and sizes.  I am 67 years old and fit right in!

My name is Wayne, will be 49 in less than 3 months and I am currently working in the IT field. After having been a bit wild in my younger years, playing sports, having little regard for my physical being and spending almost 10 years in the military my body was quite broken down. It was difficult for me to do any activities that were even the slightest bit strenuous. It had gotten so bad that I was in constant pain from my many broken bones, strains, sprains, and just being sedentary. Gone were my days of walking the hills to hunt, snowboarding, throwing the ball for my dog, or even doing various projects around the house. I would be laid up for a couple days after an afternoon of motorcycle maintenance.

For my 45th birthday I decided that I was going to make a change. I was tired of being in pain, unable to move without discomfort and wanted to get back some control of my life. My only real goal at that time was to be able to move without hurting. This seems pretty basic, but I have suffered a number of fairly vicious injuries, was overweight, and was extremely out of shape. It was quite depressing and my family was more than a little worried about my health.

Marco has done wonders for me. I moved far beyond my original goal and asked for more. Last year I was given a meal program that helped me lose 60 lbs in about 2 months. It was incredible to have dropped that much body fat. I can now do those simple things like bend over and tie my shoes without feeling nauseated, get up off the ground without struggle and can even find clothes that comfortably fit that don’t have elastic waistbands. It has truly been life changing. I am now trying to cut fat and gain muscle definition. It’s been almost four years and many workouts since I just wanted to move without pain again. The road has been difficult, but was actually attainable.

The fact that Marco understands and is so highly skilled at creating custom workouts tailored to specific needs is what made all the difference. With the massive list of injuries I have sustained over the years, he has been able to modify and target the weaknesses in my body to help me get stronger and more active. I would not be as active nor would I have regained the control over my body without his help. He is truly a master of his craft.

I would highly recommend that anyone wanting to better themselves take the plunge. Get involved with PDXFIT’s training programs and give it your maximum possible effort. These coaches can help you no matter what your level of physical fitness. It has truly changed my life and I am so appreciative of this crew. I can move and am no longer in constant pain all thanks to PDXFIT.

Kaylee Berry

My name is Kaylee Berry. I am 20 years old and I am on the Women’s Basketball team at Hawaii Pacific University.

What first brought me to work with a coach was the fact that I wanted to get stronger and gain weight in order to excel in basketball. My specific goal was to gain weight.

My experience working with Julius has been amazing. My whole life i’ve tried to put on weight and have worked with different strength coaches in order to reach that goal, and Julius was the only one who was able to get me those results. While working with Julius I was able to gain 15 lbs over the course of about 6 months. Working with Julius was awesome, he always pushed me and motivated me to be the strongest that I can be. He always believed in me and never doubted that I would reach my goals as long as I trusted the process. He taught me so much about lifting and the importance of my diet and made the whole process something that I looked forward to everyday. I highly recommend working with Julius, because he makes your goals, his own goals and will create a successful plan to help you get there. Whatever goal you may have, I guarantee Julius will get you to reach it.

To anyone who is on the fence about joining or needing a gym/coach my advice is to just do it. It is a lifestyle that will make you feel so much better about yourself, not only physically, but mentally as well. It is a great way to escape and really just have a time where you are putting all of your energy and focus into bettering yourself and that is a feeling that cannot be replaced. 


Sarah LaMountain

My name is Sarah LaMountain and I am a Clinical Pharmacy Program Specialist at MagellanRx Management. I’m 25 years old and from Rhode Island.

I was interested in working with a coach because I wanted someone to hold me accountable with my diet and workout routine. I did not have specific goals in mind other than to develop healthier habits and lost a little weight/get in better shape overall.

I have been working with Julius since September 2020 and have had nothing but a positive experience. Julius is very knowledgeable and provides great advice while always maintaining an encouraging and positive attitude.

I would say to go for it! I was super intimidated at the thought of being in a gym setting but having someone to coach you through the process helps a lot. I have gained so much confidence both in and out of the gym and I attribute all of that to the workout program I am participating in with Julius. This has definitely been one of the best/most rewarding decisions I’ve ever made for my overall health!

Alaysia Ross 

My name is Alaysia and I’m a Business Consultant. 

The reason I chose Julius is because of his dedication to health and wellness, He’s a true inspiration. My goals were always to be healthy and fit which is something I think he represents. 

My experience with Julius has been amazing. He’s very attentive and encouraging. 

If someone was on the fence, I would say try it and see if it works for you. It can be a challenge but how will you know how far you can go if you don’t try.


Jake Selco 

My name is Jake Selco. I am 22 years old and studying to be a physical therapist.

I decided to work with a coach to get in the best shape possible before my senior season of college baseball.

My experience was all I could ask for. I dropped the weight at a good pace, felt good the whole time and was in the best shape of my life. Julius is very caring about his clients and will talk you through any negatives you are feeling as well as congratulating you on your wins. 

I would tell anyone on the fence to do it. Many people struggle to really stick to a plan, but when someone is on the other side helping you through every step of your journey, it makes it that much better.
